Odessa, TX – The Odessa College baseball team is coming off of stellar season that was cut short by the pandemic in 2019-20.
The Wranglers are members of the WJCAC and coached by Kurtis Lay (head coach) and Shane Segovia (assistant). OC was 21-2 last year, and Lay led the Wranglers to a 38-22 mark in 2018-19. In its six seasons under Lay’s leadership, Odessa College has amassed a 199-119 record since 2014.
The Wranglers play their home games at Wrangler Field, formerly known as American Legion Ballpark (8901 N. Andrews Hwy). It was opened March 2019, after being renovated. It has a brand new grandstand with covered seating, pressbox, sound system, concession stand, bathrooms, umpire and player locker rooms, and a new scoreboard.
